Our efforts to tackle Covid-19
Arrival and Key Collection:
Check in time has changed slightly in order to give our cleaners some extra time to get the Cottage ready for you, following our new cleaning guidelines based on UK government advice.
Check-in time is now at 16:00. The key to your Cottage will be ready for you in your Cottage door unless arranged differently.
On arrival please park your car at the top car park by the entrance, follow signs to the office to inform us you have arrived.
In your Cottage you will find a folder with all the information about the Cottage, rules and other useful information of things to do in the surrounding area. In addition to the information folder you will find also find a separate information sheet dedicated to rules and measures around Covid-19.
During your Stay :
We are hoping that you will be able to enjoy your holiday as much as possible despite these unprecedented times.
Summercourt Cottages is perfectly located to enjoy a stress free and socially distanced holiday. However, as other guests will be staying in other Cottages nearby, please make sure you respect the social distancing rule at any time.
Either Joel or Dennis will be on site most days (10-17:00) so should you have any questions or problems please don’t hesitate to see us in the office or give us a call.
Equipment hire is still possible if given at least a days notice.
Check-out and Key Drop-off:
Check-out times have also changed slightly for the same reason as mentioned above.
Check-out time is now 9AM.
Please leave your key in the Cottage door and see either Joel or Dennis in the office to Check -out. If you are leaving before 9AM you can simply check-out by calling either Dennis or Joel.
Cleaning the Cottages:
In order to stop the spread of Covid-19 between our guests we have come up with a new stricter cleaning protocol which follows government guideline for cleaning holiday lets.
We thought it would be a good idea to share these new rules for your peace of mind:
Cleaning material: In order to ensure thorough cleaning of high contact surfaces and other areas we are using Dettol Anti Bacterial Surface cleaning. The reason we have decided to use this brand is that it has provided efficient advise on their products and the use again Corona-virus (Click here for more information).
Furthermore we are making sure that our cleaning cloths are being regularly washed on a high temperature and unused for a minimum of 3 days.
Cleaning Upholstery and Curtains: Following government advice we have removed all non essential upholstery like cushions and throws from sofas and chairs. In addition to this we are steam cleaning all sofas and curtains at each change over (Click here for more information).
Trampoline, Play Equipment and Games Room:
To allow use of the trampoline and climbing frame we are positioning a hand sanitiser gel next to the climbing frame. We recommend use of this before and after use and also suggest thorough hand-washing with soap. As we cannot disinfect these large items daily, we recommend following these guidelines if you or your children wish to use these items during your stay. Children must be supervised on this equipment.
We have decided to close our games room for the summer. If you wish to borrow a crabbing bucket or a rock-pooling net rather than buying one in town, then please let us know and this can be arranged.
Any concerns or questions before, during or after your stay with us please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Best wishes and hopefully see you soon,
Dennis and Joel – Summercourt Cottages
